Columbia Wall Systems (BC) Ltd. is determined to provide the best Stucco
Application service in the industry. We have achieved a high level of
respectability as a company that completes its contracts in a very timely
fashion while achieving a high level of workmanship.
We were the first
company in Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley to use acrylic stucco on many
multiple housing projects and continue to research and test
new innovations in the stucco industry. In the past, Columbia
Wall Systems has been quick to respond to increased demand.
During the construction boom in the early 1990's we had as
many as 36 employees.
Columbia Wall Systems (BC) Ltd. has extensive experience in every aspect of the E.I.F.S. Acrylic Systems, (exterior insulated foam system). Columbia recognizes
the importance of doing a careful job, completely enveloping the building and
therefore protecting it from the elements of nature. We are always concerned
about the integrity of the exterior wall of any building and fully guarantee our
workmanship. My personal involvement in this industry started
32 years ago, the last 30 of which I have run my own business.
Together as a team, the Columbia crew has well over a 100
years accumulative experience doing what we do best. We have
worked on several High Rise Buildings one of which exceeded 40
stories in height.
Columbia Wall Systems went international in 1996; we were chosen by the Hung Kuo
Group in Taipai, Taiwan to apply Acrylic Stucco to the exterior of a 550 unit,
18 story high-rise in Taiwan. Based on our reputation and the above experience,
we were recommended to this firm by the manufacturer of the acrylic stucco.
This project was a Canadian / Taiwanese partnership to bring new
construction techniques into Taiwan. We had to endure cultural differences,
language barriers and military threats from Mainland China.
At the time, China was threatening Taiwan over their first presidential
elections by using live ammunition during their naval exercises in the strait
between the two countries. We also experienced two earthquakes and one
typhoon. In spite of all this the project was completed successfully and on
time. It will long remain one of our greatest achievements and certainly the
most interesting contract.
